Elis Regina was an immensely popular and influential Brazilian singer. In 1974 Regina and the
marvellous Antônio Carlos Brasileiro de Almeida Jobim released the amazing bossa nova album Elis and Tom. clickity click to hear Regina and Jobim sing Aguas de Marco!! The song is perfection. It is hard not to crush on Regina after hearing her laugh/sing with Jobim at the end of the track.
Elis Regina passed away in 1982 at the age of 36 from a mix of alcohol and cocaine.
